Kathmandu, December 22. Sixteeen Nepalis have been held in Guatemala while trying to enter the United States illegally. Seventeen Bangladeshi nationals, who were with the Nepalis, have also been detained.
According to the AFP news agency, police arrested these people while they were about to leave Guatemala City. All of the arrestees are male.
It’s unclear as to how they arrived in the Central American country. In August this year, Guatemalan police had arrested 11 Nepali nationals in Guatemala.
